CFRC CE Course: The Responder's Family

1 CE hour toward your 2-hour annual CFRC renewal requirement.  You will have access to this course for 1 year from your enrollment date in this course.

Course Description

The First Responder may face a lot of issues that make living a calm, happy life sometimes a challenge. But First Responders often also have spouses and children, and so everything the responder goes through may also have an effect on the family.  Responder trauma, culture, and schedules all take a toll on the responder, who then in turn will make choices and take actions that aren’t necessarily beneficial to the relationship or family situation. The responder’s family is required to be flexible, adaptable, and to fill in the gaps where the responder isn’t able or isn’t present. This training session will help provide an understanding of the various challenges a Responder’s family may face, and how the career can affect relationships and marriages.
